Site Survey – During the site survey, Gary Dounson & Associates, will evaluate your needs, concerns and expectations for a solar system. An evaluation of existing structural, roof systems and electrical infrastructure will be made. Potential array locations are surveyed to determine the best possible solar window. Local building code and utility interconnection requirements are determined.

Economic Analysis – Gary Dounson & Associates will conduct an analysis of the life cycle cost and potential financial payback of a contemplated solar system. Availability of renewable energy incentives including rebates, tax credits, grants, Feed-In-Tariffs, loans, etc. are explored. Life cycle costing analysis is performed to assist in determining the best options.

System Design – During this phase, plans and specifications are prepared by qualified licensed professional engineers consistent with your needs and requirements. This phase may included site plan approvals with local planning authorities, electrical design of system and interconnection with the utility, structural design for wind load anchorage, etc. Once plans are completed, bids will be solicited from qualified licensed contractors and evaluations and recommendations made for the selection of the best qualified contractor for the job.

Construction Observation and Inspection – We will work with your contractor to insure the installation is timely completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.

Commissioning, Maintenance, Monitoring and Troubleshooting – We will continue to work with the contractor to insure the system is commissioned in the shortest possible time.
